Technical Gas Blender

James Mott will be teaching a Technical Gas Blender course at Sea The World Scuba Center, 13MAR10, starting at 9am. The course is an academic and hands-on class that will qualify the student to blend high pressure gas mixtures appropriate for their level of training. In addition, it will give the student a full understanding of gas mixtures utilizing varying amounts of oxygen and helium, and blending them into Nitrox, Helitrox and Trimix.

The Technical Gas Blender will address the properties of different gases such as Oxygen and Helium as well as their care and handling. Oxygen cleaning, different grades of gas, the common blending techniques with both mathematical and computerized methods of establishing various breathing gas mixes will be explored.

If you are a nitrox or technical diver, or you plan on one day entering these areas of diving, the Technical Gas Blender course will give the most detailed understanding of the gases you will be mixing and breathing. The hands-on practical experience of mixing cylinders along with the extensive classroom work and online prep class will give you the tools to become a more knowledgeable diver or member of an expedition team.
