UTD Instructor Development Course (IDC) - Wreck Module

The Instructor Development Course
UTD's IDC/Crossover is a modular program. To get started you will need to complete the first three core modules, which are mandatory and can be completed ANYTIME and in the comfort of your own home or workplace. All you need is web access. These 3 Core Modules are:

Registration Module - Student Registration, Medical, Wavier and Release
Online Classroom and Prep Module - Classroom Materials
Academic Module - An "In-person" or a "Live-online Skype/YugmaSE" module - Check Out The Schedule of Academic Modules on the Calendar listed below

The Registration and Prep modules will be done on your own with guidance from UTD HQ staff instructors. The Academic module is taught by UTD Headquarters and requires approximately 16 hours of classroom time. This takes place either during three days in person, or six half-days using live conferencing internet tools such as Skype and YugmaSE. The Open Water/Foundational Module is a 4 to 5-day in-water class that covers instructor candidate lectures, dry run presentations, and in water teaching and evaluating.
Upon successful completion of the three core modules you will be able to attend an Instructor Trainer guided "In-Person" IDC module for Open Water/Foundational Category. These are held worldwide.
