how big is big? you talking a DSLR setup in a machined housing and 10" dome and strobes on the end of double 12" arms?

 

When I dive with my camera, it is in my hands when I swim around.  When I am descending or ascending it is clipped of to my right d-ring.

 

I recently came back from a trip where a 100-150m swim from the shore to the best bits of a drop off were, for that I had my normal bolt snap tied to the base and added a bungie loop on the other side where I could clip a double ender too.  For swim time I folded the arms over, attached the double ender to the loop, clipped the bolt snap to my left d-ring and the double ender to my hip d-ring, just like carrying a stage.

 

The bungie loop kept the rig tight against my body tucked under the arm in my slipstream.  It was rather easy to swim with even when the current picked up.

Nah - nothing that big!  LOL just a Canon G11 with a DS 161 strobe and V-8 pro video light.  It's not as big as a DSLR setup but big enough to cause trim issues on a harness. 

 

I haven't been about to try this out but I'm going to try and strap it up a-la deco tank style on the left side.
