Unified Team Diving

Hi all,

I'm currently looking at my first drysuit and trying to find one that is both reasonably priced and of good quality.

My local shop has a brand new Diving Concepts drysuit on sale for around $1000 usd. I believe it is a zTek but not sure. It is a trilam w/ cordura on the outside, seems like the material used in CLX450. Has a telescoping torso, bellows pockets, front zip with zipper guard, soft boots(rather than rock boots) and seems like a good drysuit.

Does anyone have any experience with these suits, comments or insights? Alternately I'm looking at a TLS350 but a custom jobber would cost a fortune!

Thank you for any comments!

Hi Yazid,

Thanks indeed for your invaluable input and share.

I check Santi's web and seems only avaialable in Singapore, Japan and Korea for Asian region. Mind to share with me how much approx you get it from Singapore?

Yes, you are correct, the distributor of DUI in Hong Kong is actually a GUE guy and so does the one of Santi in Japan.

Thanks for your great info and it makes me a bit harder to make my decision.... haha...

Thanks again.

cheers,
Caron
Everyone, may I know if there is any comments of the Pinnacle Evo 2? thanks.
I just happened to be in Subic Bay Philippines where GUE Instructor Graham Blackmore (now out of Hong Kong) was holding a fundies class; he had a stock 30/30 Explorer tropical suit with zip seals, halcyon pockets & installed p-valve and turbo soles to try on and I was impressed with the fit, form and function of the drysuit. Still can't get used to the idea of suiting up in 37deg C air temperature, and diving dry in 27deg C water here in the humid Philippines. . .

Hi Kevrumbo,

Thanks for sharing and your info. Yes, I know Grah is the guy teaching GUE and also selling Halcyon & DUI in Hong Kong / Asia Pac.

Thanks indeed and let me do some comparison.

Yet, it seems I will go for Whites Fusion very likely...... =)

Thanks everyone!
Matt,

I'm looking for a Z-Tech suit and I recently saw your post. Do you still have these suits available? PLease let me know.

Thanks!

The Norteck suits look good, I've seen them a few places over the years.

I run one of the largest DUI shops in North America. You can get a TLS350 Explorer Series suit if you add the expedition package.

Both suits are good. DUI if you're in the US is a better choice for repairs.

I sell a lot of DC as well. I have some Z-tech suits in stock $1000us is workable. I have Large and XL in stock but only one of each. I'm considering that for my next cave diving suit. I use a CF200 for most of my diving here in Canada.

You won't notice a difference really in warmth between the TLS and the 30/30. They're both a very thin suit. Make sure if you choose a 30/30 they take into consideration your undergarments though.

PM me if you want to chat.

Thanks,

Matt
