Hello everyone
I know alot of this is gonna end up being a personal preference, but I just like some feedback and comments re.
I am one step closer to finishing up my Technical Gear configuration, I have band my steel 100's and have my V Weight 11lb but need some help determining a Horseshoe wing or a 360 degree donut style wing?
I understand that the horseshoe wing was popular old school, some still like to use it.
And is there a specific company out there that is the norm for this. I have been looking at Oxycheq, Hollis, Apeks. I have had a bad run with Halcyon gear.
I need something with between 55-60 lbs lift.
I dive with 46 lb to be nuetral
Any help is appreciated
Much Thanks
Todd

Generally if you require a lift capacity of 55lbs+ then that would mean that you are Technical/Trimix diving and carrying multiple stages and deco bottles and personally I find the horseshoe a better wing to help balance those heavy stages on the left side. http://www.utdequipment.com/doublesexpeditionsystem.html.
If you are more a Tech-Reational diver where you will basically have backgas and maybe 1 deco bottle (Al40) then the donut style works, http://www.utdequipment.com/doublesexplorersystem.html , as the extra weight from the al40 is manageable. Always keep in mind that any extra "wing" you have acts as both a taco around the tanks, which in turns creating dynamic instability and drag. So, I recommend minimizing your wing size without comprising size and ability to self rescue or provide assistance to your team mate.
