Hi Jeremy,

At this point we don't have a UTD instructor close to you, although we just spent four days at DEMA interviewing instructor candidates, so all that may change soon.

With every potential instructor candidate we do a phone interview to review the complete process of becoming a UTD instructor, and I'd be happy to set up that call with you anytime.

We also have a program called 'host a class,' where a local dive shop can organize a UTD class and we fly in an instructor.

Jeff,

I do not think that my particular LDS would even consider hosting a UTD class. The owner is rather against the DIR system because of his dealings with GI3 and the assumption that anyone else is DIW. I like the wya UTD puts things together. Everything makes perfect sense.

Concerning becoming an instructor, I would love to. I am sure that I have much to learn, especially with UTD (having not yet taken a UTD course), before I hope to obtain such a great title.
