Unified Team Diving

I've read in various forums about the different ways divers utilize to maintain depth when doing deco or gas switch. Some recommendations were team positioning/reference, looking at suspended particles, bubble reference, etc.

How do you do it? Any further inputs, feedbacks or recommendations would be great & beneficial.

Use the upline/anchorline and deploy a jon line if diving off a moored/anchored boat. Or deploy a surface marker buoy (SMB) with enough spooline referenced from your gas switch depth. . .
The suspended particles are very helpful, and are present in even what appears to be clear water. Having good, stable buddies helps a lot, too! I have also found keeping my gauge where I can see it all the time is very useful -- it also keeps my head up, which makes maintaining buoyancy easier. Any time you can shoot a bag, that helps a ton.
thanks for the feedbacks, peeps. i'm trying to improve my buoyancy control without a reference line where possible. observance of suspended particles is something that i would need to get used to.
