I was looking over the class info section to check out the all various classes available by UTD. I didn't see any information regarding the UTD Tech Gold and Trimix Gold classes. I was wondering what the course limitations (i.e. what the course certifies you for) are in these two particular classes?
Congratulations on the growth of the organization, and the website looks great.
Thanks,
Ken

Tech Gold is an add-on certification for our Tech 2 class. Tech 2 limits are 160'/48m, 1 deco bottle and 1 stage bottle, and 30 minutes max deco. Tech Gold let's you make that second bottle (the stage) into a deco bottle, so you can carry 50% and 100% on a Tech 2 dive. It still limits you to two bottles. It doesn't change any of the depth or deco time limits, but it does allow for O2 to clean up on. Prerequisites are UTD Tech 2 or equivalent and 25 dives to the Tech 2 limits.
Trimix Gold is a little different. Trimix 1 is 200'/60m max, 2 deco bottles, 1 hour of deco max. Trimix 2 is 250'/75m, 3 bottles, 90 minutes of deco max. Trimix gold is basically UTD's unlimited open circuit class - it removes restrictions for number of bottles, depth, and deco.
And thanks for the compliment, we really appreciate it.

Jeff,
Can you tell me what kind of experience is required to go on to Trimix II Gold? For example, I see that one has to complete 25 trimix dives below 160 feet and 25 training before starting Trimix II, but I don't see the requirements for the Gold endorsement.
