Having alot of gas is nice when its cold, dark, and you're a loooong way from home in a siltout. I still have 140cf of backgas leftover and at least 28cf of O2.

Small target from a loooooong distance in bad vis.

We'll find it, though I'm thinking this thing should be renamed the SS Nemesis.

Thanks for the tow back in. That was a long haul. Illustrates why we plan for worst case scenario, however.

Grrrrr we suck. 4 tries still no Lake WA wreck from shore.
I could use the excuse that its 1300ft from the last georeferenced point in 3ft vis above a bottom which is barely distinguishable from the water as an excuse. But its no excuse. It is good experience, learning alot about how to manage scooter, reel, line, heading, & team but still frustrating.
Yesterday, failed bottom timer and fubared scooter at max distance offhsore. Took 20mins to tow in. 113ft max depth, 105ft average, runtime 88mins.

By any chance does anyone here have an open or enclosed cargo trailer I could borrow for a week or so? Obviously I'll return it clean and my insurance will cover any damage. Something in the 4 or 5ft by 8ft long size range would be ideal but really anything would work since I now have 10,000lb towing capacity on my Tundra. I can't afford to buy one right now.

I'm out of town for WC, and generally, given the amount I'm diving right now, not doing the deep stuff-hence letting some gear go. Been surfing a whole bunch, boat is actually being stored in PA right now.

uhuh so what's you're excuse then??

Selling all your gear, no Whytecliff dives, fizzzzzzzpft nada. Where's the pokey similie?

Diapers? Baby isn't due for three more months.

They needed a boat with depth sounder to actually find it first - the dive it. Although from the sounds of it, it might very well be buried in silt.

Points for trying. Maybe another time of year would provide better conditions.

You aren't doing anything, go change some diapers.
