Unified Team Diving

So where are people interested in diving? In... let's say Sept and October for now. We can talk about next year, well next year. I suggest leaving Puget Sound proper for short winter days.

Sidney?
Nanaimo?
Barkely sound?
Port Hardy?
Neah Bay?
Quadra Island?
Lund?
or closer to home like the San Juans?

What is an optimum trip length? 3 day weekend? 4?

Thoughts please :)

FYI, on Sept 29th the AM is good for diving the Mackenzie. If Ogden Point wanted a full, 2-dive boat we could do that and then the Black Dragon.

Edit the Cape Able is available on August 29th!
I am waiting to hear back on: capacity, a 2 dive day on the Mackenzie then Black Dragon, and cost.
The Cape Able (Odgen Point's larger boat) takes 12 single tank divers (2 tanks each)
Erin suggested 8 to maybe 10 tech divers with scooters
Its $850 CD + GST for the whole boat.
So call it about $125 per person.

Who's in for this? First dibs to this list, then I will ask the DIRproject folks.
Recreational dive on the Mackenzie (max 95ft although she's penetratable with overhead training)
150ft 21/35+50% dive on the Black Dragon
Ok, 3 spaces filled already: me, Gottfried, and Shockey.
~6 spaces left, get 'em while they're hot!
Found this. I'm out of town that weekend--but interested in the Mark V and Neah Bay.

Time for new thread on those plans, I'll let you start it

Sweet, room for 3 or 4 more.
I'd do this if the DK ends up being full. I can likely do one or the other. For the 2-dive trip, 32% on the first and 21/35 + 50% on the 2nd? Two sets of doubles or a stage with 21/35 back-gas reserve? On contingency however, I'd hate to tap into the 21/35 and have to miss the bigger dive.

Thoughts for the baby techie?
Best I can remember, Doug (and I'll have to go back and check my dive log), the Mackenzie is about 100fsw, so a stage of 32% is fine.

I still wanna monkey the breakwater though!
Are you talking September 29th, or August 29th? Or both?

August 29th only. I'm not sure where Sept talk got in here, my bad.

Max depth on the Mackenzie is ~95ft so a single of 32% is fine. I'll probably bring a hp100.
Doubles of 21/35 for the Black Dragon, its 165ft under the prop, 140ft at the deck and 120ft up on the wheelhouse. Definitely requires a scooter if you wanna actually dive her and have fun. I have a 2nd X if anyone needs to borrow one.

Shall we head over there Friday (28th), night dive Monkey at the Breakwater to kick off the weekend? That's keeps the total tank load in the car reasonable.

Looks like Guy and Mark are busy diving (the Diamond Knot actually) so there's more room on the boat. So far, Brian, Jeanna, myself, DougM and...??
