Aha... well there's nothing wrong with the M1. Even if it is a single sided image.... and one step away from being built by a hobby shop :) And most sss just require a laptop these days.

I can't wait to see the imagery.

Good friend as a Burton M1 which is not a high tech Navy NOAA quality kinda unit but will get images worthy of video and get the job done.

It has the added benefit of not needing a supercomputer aboard a RIB :)

What brand/model of sidescan?

Everyone I ask about borrowing a sensor wants to know what non profit would be using it. Tough to convince them to let an asset go unless it is press release worthy.

I keep threatening to come back to Seattle but it never seems to pan out for one reason or another. Most frustrating.

I got one lined up Eric. You're welcome to come back and dive or just goof off anytime :)

If someone gets serious about renting a side scan for one of Richard's hair brained ideas and need someone to operate it I'd be willing to blow some miles on that adventure. I started asking around if anyone I know either has a sonar or an AUV they'd be willing to let me use. If not... it's a few hundred bucks a day. Bake sale anyone?

Happy to help anyway I can. Let me know when you start throwing out some dates so I can get them on my calendar.
