It's been a while since I've thought about this group.

The Big Island has seen a few NW UTD types comes through for some diving in the last year. It's been refreshing to have some squared away dive buddies... but I'm always looking for more.

I'm wondering if anyone else has plans to travel and/or move here?

I've been asking around to see if anyone is interested in taking Essentials. Not much luck around here. Most divers are either happy doing what they're doing or they're vacation divers. Getting hooked up with a shop in some way might be the most effective way to get a class together if importing students doesn't work.

Hey Jeff... I'll ask around. I wouldn't mind if some people I know take the class. There are too many air2's on this rock.

I'd be happy to provide any on the ground support you need for the class. That includes promotion, site scouting, and annoying local shops for whatever reason. Just let me know what you need.

And yes Pez... I'm no longer the Hawaiian team of one. Tim joined... and at some point maybe we'll be on the same island together!

My dad was born in Hawaii in 1938 so that practically makes me Hawaiian! Maybe one day I'll come and visit! Seriously folks, a Sockmonkey isn't what you might think it is! Eric's cool, and he's a great dive buddy too.

Hey all... I just moved to the Big Island. Do you live here too? Or do you know a UTD/DIR diver on the island? I'm looking for other folks to dive with. Thanks!
