Candidatos a cursos UTD provenientes de outras agências "não DIR" - Students from other "non DIR" agencies

Olá,

Li isto no site da UTD: "You can enter a class at your current level – Divers and Instructors alike, if you have a foundation in DIR you can move into a UTD class at your current or next level - it is not necessary to start from the bottom. UTD Instructors are always available for an evaluation dive prior to your class."

Parece-me uma boa politica por parte da UTD, dado que deve de haver por aí gente de outras agências que já possui um bom nível técnico e conhecimento teórico. Como tal, tais competências poderão ser reconhecidas na continuação da sua formação na UTD.

Mas existe algo que desconheço:
Em outras agências que efectuam formação DIR, todos os candidatos (indepentemente do nível que já possuem) são obrigados a iniciar a formação pelo curso de DIR Fundamentals/Essentials. Isto acontece como forma de garantir que estes candidatos dominam devidamente as técnicas aquáticas (natação estática, natação dinâmica, TRIM correcto, helicopter-turns, etc), que conhecem e aplicam devidamente o conceito de mergulho em equipa, que detêm a configuração de equipamento correcta, que detêm a correcta atitude e que usam misturas de gases e procedimentos standartizados.

Sendo assim, como a UTD vai garantir que os candidatos provenientes de outras agências “não DIR” e que entram directamente num nível acima, dominam devidamente os fundamentos do mergulho DIR?

It seems to me a good thing because there are people from other diving agencies with a good diving level and knowledge….

However there is one thing that I don’t know:
In the other diving agencies with DIR training, every student must start their training with the DIR Essentials/Fundamentals course. This happens to assure that these students have the necessary underwater skills (static and dynamic swimming, correct TRIM, helicopter-turns, etc), they know and apply correctly the Work Team concept, they have the correct equipment configuration, they have the correct attitude and they use the standard gas mixes and procedures.

So, how UTD will assure the students that come from other non DIR training agencies and that enter directly in one higher training level, have the necessary DIR requirements?
