MX-Z Rebreather - SPG for O2 Supply/Bailout Deco
When diving an O2 bottle that we are relying on to have enough gas for the dive and to bailout to O2 decompression, we need to have a pressure gauge on. This will help us ensure that we have enough gas to conduct the dive and if we need to bailout. The SPG is stowed on the bottle in the standard UTD/DIR configuration, having the SPG attached to a 6”/15cm HP hose and then bungeed and folded back onto the first stage to remain in full view of the diver at all times. On a recreational configuration, it is nice to have an SPG to know the gas supply is ample at the beginning of the dive but can be thought on as unnecessary during the dive as you will not be relying on it for deco purposes.
