Our goal at Unified Team Diving is to create "The Thinking Team." We move beyond the simple idea of diving with a buddy - we guide you to train, dive, and think as a cohesive team. This makes diving safer, easier, and much more fun.

The UTD iPad/iPod/iPhone Class 2.0 Application allows anyone - UTD students, other agency divers/students, and even future divers - to purchase and download UTD Classroom Materials, UTD DVD's, Video Clips, and the UTD Books and Manuals onto their iPad/iPod/iPhone for "offline" viewing. This gives you the convenience of downloading materials, videos and books and then being able to watch them offline when you would like – Wherever, Whenever! You can now have the most progressive training agency’s materials right on your iPad/iPod/iPhone for use at your leisure.

Via the UTD Ipad/Iphone Class Application one can purchase full UTD Classroom Materials in preparation for a scheduled in-water UTD Class. (Note: These can be purchased instead of purchasing either the Online Classrooms or the printed UTD students books.)
The UTD Classroom Application can be downloaded by either going to the "Appstore" on your iPad/iPod/iPhone or by going to the iTunes Apps Store on your desktop and searching "UTD Classroom Application". Once downloaded and installed, you can start having "FUN" reviewing any of the UTD Classroom Materials, DVD, Video Clips and/or Books and Manuals -- right on your iPad/iPod/iPhone. Home Screen
Once you start the application you enter into the Home Screen
View Purchased Materials
This is a listing of all the classrooms materials (blue icons), video's (green icons), books and manuals (brown icons) and/or DVD's (orange icons) that you have purchased. From here you simply click the icon of choice to enter into the classroom, video, book or DVD and begin having fun using your purchased materials. We have provided an "Example Classroom" for FREE, to allow you to get an idea of how incredible the materials look and sharp the video presentations are. Remember the Classroom Materials (blue icons) are consider full UTD Classroom materials, with instructor narrated power points and video to enhance your learning experience and can be purchased instead fo the UTD Online Classrooms or the UTD Printed Classroom materials. The difference is they are downloaded to the iPad/iPhone/iPod and therefore you have the ability to use them while offline.
You can purchase additional materials anytime by simply clicking the "Purchase More Materials" button on the bottom of the screen and going to the Purchase Additional Materials area.
Note: If the Classroom, Video, Book or DVD Icon in your "Purchased Material" area has an orange triangle with an explanation point in it - a warning icon, then it either has to be updated or downloaded. Clicking the icon reveals a message box that states wether it needs to update or the download needs to be completed. In either case you simply click the download button from the message box and the updated version will download or the interrupted download will continue to download until completed.Once the latest version or download is complete you can then start using your classroom or DVD materials.


Classroom Main Page
Once in the classroom, you will be at the Home Page*. You can now either use the controls to begin the presentation and/or watch the Video's, or you can click the chapter list to get an overview of all of the chapters in the Classroom or DVD presentation.

The Classroom Controls
Play/Pause - iPad/iPhone/iPod
We provide a "play/pause" toggle button below the slide. Play is a little arrow pointing to the right. Simply press the "play" button to begin the presentation*, it will toggle to pause " . If you press the pause button, the presentation will pause and the button will toggle back to play button (arrow pointing right).


Once the presentation* begins you will hear the voice over or music start and you may also see the presentation bar moving on the bottom of the screen (iPad only).
Forward/Rewind Button
These two buttons may be available on the classroom slide presentation controls (iPad only for slides), and are present on iPad/iPhone/iPod for video presentations. During the slide presentation these controls allow you to skip to the next slide or rewind to the previous slide . However if you are on the iPhone or iPod you will need to use the "Chapter List" feature to skip to the next slide or go back to the previous slide. During the video presentation these buttons allow you to skip to the next video or previous video. To advance the video use the Quicktime feature of sliding the progress bar with your finger to find the spot you want.


Show Chapter List / Hide Chapter List Toggle Button
This button will either show the chapter list side bar or hide the chapter list side bar. This is a fantastic feature to show the list, then choose the slide or video you want to watch or pickup from where you left off and then hide it again to get the full viewing experience of the slide to video. This list can be scrolled up or down by simply touching the screen and pulling your finger down or up on the list to scroll it in the direction of choice.

Done button
The Done button from the slide presentation takes you back to the Home Screen - Purchased Materials. The Done button from the Quicktime video presentation takes you back to the Slide Presentation.

Full Screen/Normal Screen Toggle Button - Video Presentation
The Full Screen/Normal screen toggle button (two arrows pointing in opposite directions or two arrows pointing inward) appears in the bottom corner for iPad and the top corner (for iPhone/iPod) of video screens. This toggle allows you to view in the presentation in fullscreen mode or not. In fullscreen mode you do not see the lower bar that consists of the play button progress bar, time remaining, full screen button, show chapter list button, rewind, forward and done buttons. Once in full screen mode you can touch the screen to bring up the controls, and no toggle back to now mode by touching the button that has the two arrows point inward. Keep in mind that these menu will fade away after a few second, so as not to hinder your view, and can easily be reactivated by touching the screen.

This course covers the basic principles of cave diving and is designed to introduce the skills and knowledge required for limited penetration into the underwater cave environment.
Technical Cave

The Technical Cave Diver course is designed to develop technical cave diving proficiency. Cylinder and Valve Technician

These materials are excellent to for store owners/staff and/or divers aspiring to do visual inspections and service of cylinders as well as support the UTD Cylinder and Valve Technician Class.UTD's Cylinder and Valve Technician Class is an academic and hands on class that prepares the student to visually inspect and oxygen clean aluminum and steel SCUBA cylinders and valves. The class addresses the proper care, maintenance and inspection of cylinders and valves, as well as proper safety precautions.
Drysuit Mini
Drysuit Mini - $94.99. These materials are excellent for someone wanting to learn about drysuit diving as well as supporting the UTD Drysuit Mini. Drysuit diving allows a diver to venture into chillier waters or enables them to stay longer in somewhat warmer locations. These materials also support the UTD Essentials of Overhead diving class. The Essentials of Overhead Diving course is designed to cultivate the fundamental techniques required by all sound wreck, and cave diving practice. Essentials of Technical

They also support the UTD Essentials of Technical Diving Class. The Intro to Technical Diving course is designed to cultivate the fundamental techniques required by all sound technical, wreck, and cave diving practice. Intro to Tech functions as a technical entry point for all previously certified divers and as the prerequisite for all other technical UTD classes.
Nitrox Diver
Nitrox Diver - $99.99. These materials are perfect for divers looking to become Nitrox certified divers as well as divers entering the UTD Nitrox Class. This is a Nitrox class for certified divers that covers, in detail, current uses of back-gas breathing mixtures with an oxygen content of 32%. Breathing Nitrox allows for extended bottom times and/or a safety margin over air in depths to 100 feet/30m.
Overhead Protocols
Overhead Protocols - $99.99. Interested in diving in the overhead? THese materials are a great way to build your foundation for a cave or wreck class. THey also support the UTD OHP class. The UTD Overhead Protocols course is a mandatory prerequisite to UTDs Wreck 1 and Cave 1 classes, and acts as Part 1 of any overhead environment course. As there are so many skills and techniques common to both wreck and cave diving, the Overhead Protocols class presents the student with the foundational skills that are necessary to be a safe, thinking diver in any overhead environment.
Ratio Deco
Ratio Deco - $99.99. This materials introduces you to the concepts of doing "decompression on the fly" without the aid of a computer or table. Ratio Deco is a decompression strategy for recreational, technical, trimix and Rebreather divers alike. This class introduces the student to the concepts of Ratio Deco from recreational to technical.
Rec 1/ Open Water Diver
Open Water Dvier / Rec 1 - $99.99 These are materials are fantastic for any beginning diver looking to become certified as well as supports the UTD OW1/Rec1 programs. Recreational Diver 1 course is the first in a series of recreational, or entry level classes, designed to teach NON-certified divers the wonders of diving. UTDs Rec 1 class builds a solid diving platform using the law of primacy as the greatest teaching tool. This class is structured to prepare divers for recreational diving using proper equipment, diving techniques and breathing mixtures. The class combines basic scuba diving theory with knowledge and the UTD equipment configuration, allowing each student to see the big picture while they learn to think in the water.
Rec 2 / Advanced
Recreational Diver 2 - $99.99. These materials are great for certified divers looking to continue their education stepping into more advanced diving. The material support the UTD Rec 2 class. The Recreational Diver 2 course is the next step for divers wishing to expand their limits to slightly deeper depths without venturing into decompression. The class is structured to prepare divers for a wider range of environment conditions, deeper environments, and more advanced recreational diving using proper equipment, diving techniques and breathing mixtures.
Rec 3 - Recreational Helium
Recreational Diver 3 - $99.99. These materials outline how a recreational diver can dive beyond the 100'/30m zone, using recreational helium and yet staying within the No-Decompression/Minimum limit, as well as support the UTD Rec 3 class. Recreational Diver 3 is a No-Decompression/Minimum Deco Helitrox course structured to prepare divers for deeper recreational diving using proper equipment, diving techniques and standard Helium breathing mixtures. The class will incorporate more advanced decompression theories and the use of correct accent procedures. Recreational Diver 3 training focuses on expanding the Essentials/Intro to Tech and the Rec 2 skills and is designed to cultivate, integrate and expand those skills required for safe deeper recreational diving. This will include problem identification and resolution and building the capacity for progressively more challenging diving.
Rescue Diver
Rescue Diver - $99.99. These materials are great for divers looking to avoid stress and be able to rescue themselves or their teammates. UTD?s Rescue Diver course is designed to prepare the student for a variety of emergency situations and is centered around both self-rescue and buddy-rescue. Stage Bottle Mini

Technical Diver
Technical Diver - $99.99 These materials are excellent for anyone interested or taking a technical diver program. They also support the UTD Technical 1 & 2 diver programs. UTDs Technical Diver program consists of a two step process - Technical Diver 1 (Tech 1) and Technical Diver 2 (Tech 2). They are building block classes that introduce a diver to deeper depths and staged decompression in a slow progression, first working on bottom skills, then ascent skills and finally mid-water skills. Upon completion of these two courses, divers are trained and qualified to a depth of 160/48m breathing Helitrox 25/25 and Trimix 21/35, to use of stage bottle to conduct multiple technical dives in the same day and to use a single decompression gas of Nitrox 50 or 100% O2.
Technical Gas Blender

This is an academic and hands-on class that qualifies the student to blend high pressure gas mixtures utilizing varying amounts of oxygen and helium into Nitrox, Helitrox, and Trimix.
Trimix Diver
Trimix Diver - $99.99. These materials are great for anyone taking a Trimix Diver course as well as supporting the UTD?s Trimix 1 & 2 Diver class. UTDs Trimix Diver program, like the Tech diver program, is also a two-step process, consisting of Trimix 1 and Trimix 2. This building block concept adds depth and complexty in small steps, building on a the Techncial Divers existing skills. A student may take these classes individually, allowing time between to gain experience, or may combine them into one 6-day class if prepared. By the completion of Trimix 2, a diver is qualified to 250/75m using all standardized bottom and decompression mixes, multiple stage bottles and decompression bottles.
Wreck Penetration 1
Wreck Penetration 1 - $99.99. These materials are excellent for anyone looking to do a wreck penetration course as well as support the UTD wreck 1 class. Simply click the icon of choice and you will get a description of each classroom materials or DVD.

If you decide to purchase the materials simply click the Purchase now button and Apple will confirm you purchase request.

If you are logged in to your Itunes store simply enter your password or enter your username and enter your password and login.

Once your purchase is confirm you will receive a thank you message and you will see the download begin.

Click ok and now you will notice a progress bar showing the download of each slide and video.

Once the purchase is completed, the purchased materials will be placed in your purchased material area - home screen. (You may have to restart the application to see them.) Once downloaded, you can use the materials. Keep in mind that if for any reason the download is interrupted, don't worry as the icon will still appear in your purchased area, but it will have the orange waring triangle below it, you need to click it to re download it and once the download is complete and correct and you are able to use the materials the little warning triangle will disappear.
