Advice on buying twin tanks

I'm looking to get a set of doubles for diving in SF Bay Area and would appreciate some guidance.  I currently have two XS HP Steal 100s and one AL 80 but would probably leave them as singles since doubles would be overkill for most of my fun dives with friends or Reef Check surveys. Don gave me the awesome advice of the steel 100s for single tank diving which has since converted many and the rest simply covet. A few questions / room for comments:* Recommendations on size, steel vs al, hp vs lp…See More

22 vs 24" Reg hose

I'm converting my brother's reg to a long hose configuration and have found varying advice on the hose length of the necklaced reg.  Some say 22" some say 24". The UTD equipment config section recommends 24, but it is shown with a set of doubles. For a single tank config, is 22 generally long enough? Thanks, brianSee More

Brian,

Welcome to UTD, glad that you joined us here. Also, appreciate you joining the local Bay Area group.

Please let me know if you're interested in diving together and meeting other local divers. We have a friendly group of divers who are out in the water every weekend (and sometimes during the week).

Look forward to diving with you.
