At 5:35am on June 25, 2009, James Mott said…: Thanks for the inquiry, UTD gives you a few advantages as a diver and especially as a student. If you are already a DIR diver you can essentially crossover at your level. You don’t need to enter UTD at the bottom.
Both as a student and as an instructor, the support materials are the best in the industry. I have taught for PADI for 10 years and have taken classes from everyone, PADI, NAUI, IANTD, IDA, and GUE. The online classrooms are a wonderful tool to prepare the student for classroom time with the instructor, videos of all the skills, worksheets for gas planning, and even more for the instructors.
Plus, we have this great community that allows me to communicate with great people like yourself, all over the world. Divers who are committed to a better way of diving and want to share our experiences and love for the underwater world.
