Bob Bailey said… - I discovered that the macro lens ... when left in the sun .. acts as a magnifying glass (well, duh!). It melted the lens cover to the point where I couldn't open the lens.
Cost me $175 for a new lens element.

- I love my G10 so much I now own two of 'em. Unfortunately, I melted the first one the week-end before my big trip, so I bought a "redundant" camera and sent the original one in for repair. It came back from Canon today, good as new. I'm gonna put it on a bungeed necklace ...

I live in Southern Switzerland, the italian part of Switzerland at the border with Italy. In the future could be, that i will look for some classes (When UTD will have classes in Europe). So far like what I see , A fresh new dive group . Most of me training is through TDI At least all the tech stuff . Will look forward to the forum and possibly doing somthing with you guys someday .
