I'm uber happy to report that this past weekend we were able to successfully dive on the elusive and NEVER before dived wreck of the Famous.

Over the past two and half years we've been trying to organize an expedition to dive this wreck. The Famous was build in England in 1890 after which she was used all over the world. The most important aspect of diving this particular wreck is that it was sunk in the area that has very unpredictable currents. Generally speaking artificial reefs are put in protected or at least… Continue

Mark,
Congratulations on the Famous. Nothing so exciting around here. A few scummy wrecks. But some pretty interesting research. Send me your email address.

Hy Mark, I m Paolo from Italy and I m studing technical diver online classroom. There is one point not clear to me in gas section, it is how do you calculate the EAD with 25/25 triox . let me exlain , the EAD concept is obviously clear , the formula and quick formula are also clear and works fine is used for ean32 but it do not work for 25/25 triox. At 30 mt dept EAD for ean 32 is 24 mt, same result from formula and quick calculation but for 25/25 triox it do not works .How do you consider the helium ? you treat as nitrogen? please help me to understand

Mark,

FYI: Slide 7 of the Gas selection presentation/PDF is incorrect. In the math it has a .25, but it should be .15.

If anyone is interested we were featured on The Discovery Show "Dirty Jobs" last May and it airs about every two weeks. It shows us taking a vehicle that went through the ice and how we do it. You can go to the www.discoverychannel/dirtyjobs.com and it will give you the listing of when it will run. It is called Minnesota ice recovery
