Solar Heating System and teaching

This weekend - we (myself and the other Instructor Candidates) could not of survived the Essentials of Rec/Tech without the Solar Drysuit Heating System. We were teaching ALL day (outside and in-water) 10+ hours. Each day would start first with a 2-4 hour dryrun session on a picnic bench. We were in the open and exposed to the cold wind, the heating system surface batteries ran the heating unit continuously, keeping us perfectly warm and comfortable. They would last about 3 hours per battery and generated enough heat to make the miserable outside weather comfortable.

Then when we hit the cold pacific waters, we were in the water for about 90 min per dive, and again these little solar heating units kept us perfectly comfortable. As the instructor or instructor candidates, we were not moving around, remaining quite stationary. So normally we would freeze our butts off. But these little heating units changed the game. We ran them continuously on low heat settings (11.2v) and they kept us perfectly warm and comfortable for the 90+mins dives. Of course in-between the dives, we would once again plug in the surface batteries and be super comfortable during the surface debriefs. I can't say enough about how awesome these Solar Drysuit heating systems are, and how they will change the game of teaching in the future.
